With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcus Wiley Johnson Jr. in Ahoskie, North Carolina, who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Wiley Johnson, Sr. and Nannie Alford Johnson; and his brother Tommy Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Anne Holloman Johnson; his stepchildren, Walter Hunnicutt (Gina) of Clover, SC, Jerry Hunnicutt (Lisa) of Harrellsville and Mark Daniel Hunnicut (Kristina) of Winterville; his siblings, Paul Johnson (Linda) of Grimesland, Steve Johnson (Vanessa) of Simpson, Beth Johnson Stroud (Randy) of Ahoskie and Paige Pierce of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Chris Hunnicutt (Sarah) of Harrellsville, Joshua Hunnicutt (Sarah) of Charlotte, Stephanie Hunnicut of Clover, SC, Libby Grimes (Thomas) of Harrellsville, Emily Grace Kerr (James) of Summerton, SC, Megan Perreault (Chris) of Harrellsville and Walter Glen Hunnicutt of Clover, SC; and his great grandchildren, Nienka, Natalie, Aileigh Grace, Reese, Raleigh John and Eli Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harrellsville Baptist Church (206 E Main St, Harrellsville, NC 27942). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Harrellsville Cemetery.
