It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leatta M. Gidney (Ahoskie, North Carolina), born in Shelby, North Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2018, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Moore and Lenora Moore; her former husbands, William Dorsey White and Herbert Gidney; and her siblings, Nathaniel, Emanuel, Moses, William Emerson, Graham, Mary Magdalene, Margaret and Evangeline.
She is survived by: her daughter Gail London of Fayetteville; her brother Booker T Moore of Latham; her grandchildren, Alexia London of Charlotte, Jamal of Norfolk and Delora McQueen-McRae of Dover, Delaware; and her son-in-law Alexander London of Aberdeen. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
