He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Wilkins Fairless and Forrise Newbern "Blue" Fairless. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann Casper Fairless; his children, Jacqueline "Jackie" Fairless (Michael) of Aulander and Wilbert "Will" Fairless (Shellee) of Harrellsville; his grandchildren, Adam Fairless (Heather) of Harrellsville, Alyssa Fairless (Simon) of Colerain and Alexis Fairless of Colerain; his great grandchild Charlotte Faye "Charlie" Fairless of Harrellsville; and his siblings, Dianne Smith (Richard) of Asheville, NC, Wayne Fairless (Dennis) of Ahoskie, James "Jimmy" Fairless of Harrellsville and Mary Ellen Cullipher of Colerain.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (205 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Harrellsville Cemetery.
