It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Jordan Myrick Sr. (Ahoskie, North Carolina), who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Myrick and Victoria Smith Myrick; his wife Patricia H. Myrick; his sons, John Myrick, Jr. (Tykesha) of Columbia, MD and Carlos Myrick (Erica) of Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Elizabeth Smith "Liz" (Percell) of Eure, NC, Peggy Lewter of Winton, NC, Shirley Cherry of Winton, NC, Cutha Jeffcoat of Winton, NC and James T. Myrick of Elizabeth City, NC; and his foster brothers, C. S. Jernigan (Jean) of Cofield, NC and J. D. Williams (Virginia) of Cofield, NC. He was also cherished by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
