He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Byrd, Sr. and Beulah Bracy Byrd; his daughter Lori Ann Byrd Pridgen; and his sister Margaret Byrd Morris Holloman. He is survived by: his wife Pat "Patti"; his stepson Roger Dale Owens Jr. (Aimee) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Jacob Pridgen of Wilson, Alexander Cameron Owens and Elizabeth Marie Owens of Columbus, GA; his great grandchild Everly Pridgen of Wilson; his sister Jean Byrd Savage of Gates; his nephews, Bobby Morris (Lisa) of Ahoskie and Brian Savage of Gates; and his niece Robin Savage of Gates.
