He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Beverly, Sr. and Mamie Beverly. He is survived by: his wife Lula Mae Early Beverly; his daughters, Bernetta Cherry (James) of Franklin, VA and Christine Beverly of Greenville, NC; and his siblings, Dorothy Beverly (Ray) of Ahoskie, NC and Thurman Beverly of Union, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren; (4) great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
