He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Eure Godwin; his parents, Claxton Albert and Ella Mae Godwin; and his sister Etta Louise Godwin Vines. He is survived by: his children, Cherry Godwin Howell (late Phillip), Howard Godwin (Sue) and Bonnie Godwin Hansen (Scott); his grandchildren, Nick Howell, Megan Howell, Ryan Godwin (Jackie), Kendra Godwin Smith (Matthew), Christopher Godwin (Julie), Seth Hansen and Liza Hansen; and his great grandchildren, Leilani Godwin, Noah Godwin, Morgan Smith and Rebecca Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
