She was predeceased by: her parents, Scarobough Parker and Ruby Bazemore Parker; her husband David A. Byrd; her son David Kenneth Byrd; and her siblings, Lucille Sylvia, Edna Earl Whitaker and Roy Parker.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Byrd (Ann) of Ahoskie and Maynard Byrd of Aulander; her daughter-in-law Barbara Byrd of Aulander; her grandchildren, Travis Byrd (Chelsie), Pamala Cale (Daniel) and Elaine Vaughan (Keith); and her great grandchildren, Amber Cale, Parker Cale and Thomas Vaughan.
