She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pierce and Maybell McGlohon Pierce; her husband Walter Pierce; and her children, Rita Small and Melvin Pierce (Helen).
She is survived by: her children, Walter Douglas Pierce (Marilyn) of Middletown, Larry Pierce (Linda) of Ahoskie, NC, Jacqueline P. Vann (late Marcus) of Greensboro, NC and Gail P. Hayes (Vincent) of Durham, NC; her daughter-in-law Helen Pierce; and her sister Dorothy Webster of Elizabeth City, NC. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter Pierce; two children, Rita Small and Melvin Pierce (Helen). ****DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE PRIVATE.
