She was predeceased by: her parents, James Reid and Rozula Newsome Reid. She is survived by: her husband George Sessoms, Jr. of Ahoskie, NC; her daughters, Sierra Ried (Xavier) of Ahoskie, NC and Kynesha Ried (David) of Hampton, VA; and her sisters, Cynthia Reid of Norfolk, VA, Jacqueline Stephenson (Steve) of Murfreesboro, NC and Jeanette Meekins of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hunter's Funeral Home (123 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dr N, Ahoskie, NC 27910-7612).
