She was predeceased by: her husband Rufus Albert Coats; her parents, Monnie Will Parker and Lila Mae Casper Parker; her daughters, Nancy Long (Robert Long) and Janice Todhunter; her grandson Kenny Coats; her siblings, Myrtle Pierce, Louise Harmon, Frances Brabble, McCoy Parker and Monnie Parker; and her sons-in-law, Nelson Crosby and William Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Davis, Patricia Cheek (Robert), Debbie Crosby, Rufus Dexter Coats (Carol) and Phillip Earl Coats; and her sister Lillie Hollowell. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mercy Church (127 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
