He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wingate Parker and Ruby Sewell Parker; and his siblings, Dorothy Tew, Frances Brown, Marie Clark, Mary Elizabeth Scudder, Riopel Sumner and Billy "W. D.".
He is survived by: his wife Sara Willoughby Parker; and his sister Berna Dean Byrum of Murfreesboro, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
