She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Mebane Edwards and Margaret Bolton Edwards. She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children, Margaret Leigh Piland of Woodland and Clay Piland (Tammy) of Ahoskie; her brother Mike Edwards (Karen) of Lebanon, SC; her granddaughters, Carly of Ahoskie, Casey of Ahoskie and Cally Piland of Ahoskie; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Edwards (Emily), Joshua Piland, Cole Piland, Kristin Barrineau (Jason), Courtney Edwards Pierce (Aaron), Camryn Piland and Meagan Piland Overman (West); and her cousin Scarlette Norris. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews, and extended family.
