She was predeceased by: her father Trannie Watford. She is survived by: her husband Chester H. Powell, Sr.; her children, Patricia P. Speight (Ronald) of Cofield, NC, Chester E. Powell (Carolyn) of Colerain, NC and John E. Powell (Karen) of Harrellsville, NC; her sisters, Evelyn Goode of Portsmouth, VA, Maggie Gaskins (Kirby) of Merry Hill, NC, Annie Lee Watford of Ahoskie, NC and Lula Mae Perry of Trap, NC; her daughters, Geraldine Hill (David) of Rocky Mount, NC and Jackie Hill of Baltimore, MD; and her godsons, Michael Robinson of Harrelllsville, NC and Rev. Devon Sessoms of Harrelllsville, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in- law, other relatives and friends.
