He is survived by: his wife Arlethia Grover Johnson; his daughters, Kendra Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Daja Johnson of Ahoskie, NC; his granddaughter Janiyah Johnson of Ahoskie, NC; and his siblings, Willie Johnson (Amanda) of Windsor, NC, Larry Johnson of Pennsville, NJ, Emma Miller of Richmond, VA, Beatrice Savage of Norfolk, VA, Essie Gibbs of Portsmouth, VA and Sharon Finney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
