She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Lee Smallwood and Samuel Saulsbury. She is survived by: her husband James Sutton of Winton; her children, Clarence Smallwood (Jerquitta) of Knightdale, Joyce Jenkins of Ahoskie and Tine Lee of Newport News, VA; her brother Robert Williams of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and her aunt Mary Chamblee. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
