He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lester and Annie Mae Lowman; his wife Peggy Abee Lowman; his son Steven Denver Lowman; and his siblings, Ruth Reed, Leland, Hubert and Lamar Lowman.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Lynn Lowman Tallent (Bobby) of Morganton; his grandsons, Scotty and Brandon; and his great grandchildren, Stormie and Noah. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
