With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Ashby (Advance, North Carolina), born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2021 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Ashby to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Early William Ashby and Elsie Woods Ashby; his wife Marianne W. Ashby; and his brother Paul Dean Ashby (Jean). He is survived by: his daughters, Andrea Ashby of Raleigh and Rebecca L. Ashby of Winston-Salem; his siblings, Fran Sevits (George) of Sanford, Elwood Ashby of Walkertown, Ray Ashby (Ann) of Winston-Salem and Ron Ashby (Helga) of Tupelo, MS; his nieces and nephews, Tim Ashby, Andy Ashby, Randy Wood, Bill Sevits, Deanna Sevits, Amanda Belding and Allison Edwards; and his close friend Mary Lawson. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
Following COVID-19 and current health guidelines, the family will hold a large Celebration of Life to honor Bill, at a later date.
