He was predeceased by: his parents, Derwood Belmont Brinkley and Loubell Weathers Brinkley; his brothers, Bill Brinkley and Randy Brinkley; and his grandchildren, Brandon George Hunter and Jacy Bleu Swaim.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Alene New Brinkley; his children, Wendy Long (Farley) and Thomas Brinkley, Jr. (Beth); his grandchildren, Vincent Brinkley, Samantha Brinkley, Daniel Brinkley, Jimmy Vann Swaim and Kayla Michelle Hunter; his great grandchildren, Addison Swaim and Kenzleigh Swaim; his brother Roger Brinkley; and his cousin Jimmy Walker.
