He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Robert Tallent and Lillie Tallent (Calloway); his wife Lillian Elois Tallent (Richardson); his siblings, Robert Lee Tallent, Francis Hamilton, Margaret Garretson, Marie Mullis and Betty Jean Foster; and his granddaughter Renee Becraft Hildreth.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joy Nichols (Bill) of Advance, NC and Karen Piscitelli Morton of Clayton, NC; his siblings, James Marshall of Yadkinville, NC and Nadine Spillman of Cooleemee, NC; and his grandsons, Curtis Clements of Virginia, James Clements of Raleigh, NC, Ronnie Becraft of Wake Forest, NC and Billy Tuttle of Lexington, NC. He is also survived by step great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
