He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien C. Dastous and Irene Dastous (Boisvert); his siblings, Robert Dastous and Therese Hutchinson (John); and his brothers-in-law, Roger Boule, Ronald Belley and Michael Perry.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Dastous (Brassard); his children, Christina Jackson (Shane) of Prairieville, LA and Peter J. Dastous (Linh) of Beaufort, SC.; his sisters, Pauline Boule, Denise Belley and Diane Perry (David Pritchard); his siblings-in-law, Richard of Litchfield, NH., Alana Brassard of Litchfield, NH. and Marcy Brackett (Gary Hogan) of Litchfield, NH.; and his grandchildren, Chelsea (Abram) of Louisiana, Hollie (Zecheriah) of Louisiana, Zakery of Louisiana, Jesse (Ashley) of Louisiana, Lori of Louisiana, Emaleigh of Steamboat Springs, CO and John (Peter, Jr.) of Chapel Hill, NC. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren all of Louisiana and many nieces, nephews and many cousins.
