He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mabel Booker Hamlet and Reuben D. Hamlet, Sr.; his wife Shirley Minton Hamlet; his daughters, Stefanie Hamlet of Clemmons and Leigh Hamlet-Thompson (Doug) of Charlotte; his granddaughter Jansen McDaniel (Nathan); and his cousin Jimmy Booker.
