She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Stephen (Reginald); her parents, Rakel and Helmuth; her children, Jack Walters (Nikki) of Thomasville, NC, Jill Walters of Winston-Salem, NC and Susan Simpson of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Regi Ahearn (Brendan) of Charlotte, NC, Ian Simpson (Ceci) of Charlotte, NC, Patrick Godwin Jr. (Karen) of Roxboro, NC, Adam Walters (Emily) of Miami, Scott Walters of Thomasville, NC, Jeannette McNamara (Matt) of Thomasville, NC, Joseph Walters (Shannon) of Stumpy Pt and Katie Marcella (Pierre) of Raleigh, NC; her niece Judy Kilkelly (Brian) of Conyers, GA; and her nephews, Robert and Arthur Christy (Pat) of New York. She was also cherished by great-grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews.
