With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelson Thomas Russell Jr. of Advance, North Carolina, born in Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Thomas Russell, Sr. and Virginia Dare Russell (Brame). He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Skowronski); his siblings, Bonnie Gail Goodnight, Sheila Dare Arnold and Michael Wayne Russell; his son Nelson Thomas Russell, III; and his grandchildren, Harper Elizabeth Russell and Nelson Thomas Russell, IV. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in N.T.'s memory to the Legacy Fund at Lenoir-Rhyne University or Christ Moravian Church Building Fund.
