He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Permelia Speas Rowe; and his stepmother Judith Bellamy Rowe. He is survived by: his father Jerry Herman Rowe; his wife Carla Hicks Rowe; his sister Melissa Westendorff (Martin); his nephews, Eric and Karl Westendorff; and his legged family, Winston, Sammie, Mollie and Milo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or the Forsyth Humane Society at 4881 Country Club Road, Winston Salem, NC 27104.
