She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett "Whitt" Bowers and Gladys Roberts Bowers; her husband Jay Robah Whitaker; and her son Ronny Whitaker. She is survived by: her children, Tony Whitaker (Maggie), Jeffrey Whitaker of Winston-Salem and Lisa Whitaker (Brian Cross) of Kernersville; and her siblings, Wilma Lamb of Kernersville, Faye Scott of Winston-Salem and Jerry Wayne Bowers (Marilyn) of Plainfield, IN. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
