She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Adolphus McCollum and Hattie Jane McCollum (Vickery); her husband Daniel Lawson; her son William Burgess; her daughter-in-law Becky Burgess; her siblings, Edward McCollum, Billy McCollum, Charles McCollum and Virginia Coker; her son-in-law Lanny Rice; and her great grandchild Jacob Berrier.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Lawson (Tammy) of Advance, Wayne Burgess (Alice) of Westfield, NC, Gary Burgess (Teresa) of Advance, Diane Rice of Winston-Salem, NC and Janet Caudle (Jeff) of Lexington, NC; and her sister Frankie Cain of Hartwell, GA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
