He was predeceased by: his father Ruben Hanks; his former wife Lou Ray; his wife Carol Jean Hanks; and his siblings, Irene, Arvil and Jasper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paulette, Michelle (Kelvin), Donna and Cheryl (David); and his grandchildren, Margay, Steven, Ashley, Sarah and Sonia. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished friends and neighbors.
