He was predeceased by: his father Lucius Lanier Rice, Sr.; and his sister Geraldine R. McBride. He is survived by: his wife Diane Rice; his children, Kenneth Rice (Christie) and Mary "Angel" Rice; and his grandchildren, Kenny Rice (Angel), Kerry Rice (Hannah), Tyler Merritt (Rachel) and Toby Merritt (Madison).
