It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester Reece Allen of Advance, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Allen and Esther Sofley Allen; his son Kevin Glenn Allen; and his siblings, C. W. Allen, Cornell Allen (Mary Elizabeth) and Leta Ellis (Shorty).
He is survived by: his wife Vivian McKnight Allen; his granddaughter Tessa Rodgers (Michael); his sister-in-law Barbara Allen; and his close friends, Max and Annie. He is also survived by several nieces; and all his golfing friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for a charity of the donor's choice.
