He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Louis Vogt and Allene Vogt; his wife Brenda Johnson Vogt; and his brother Richard Vogt. He is survived by: his stepson John "Chip" Contos III (Lori); his granddaughters, Samantha Contos of Mocksville, NC and Sarah Contos of Mocksville, NC; his sister Gloria Vogt Fulton of Bloomfield, NJ; and his close friend Rich Church of Woodstock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
