With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Marie Harper Barney of Advance, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Paul and Mertie Henry Harper; and her husband L. B. Barney. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Jones of Mocksville and Freddy Barney of Advance; her brother William Fred Harper (Sandra); her grandchildren, Maresa Anderson (Michael) and Jeanna Hendren (Junior); her great grandchildren, Kelsie, Marlie, Rhylie, Sydney and Ashley; and her nephew Little Bill. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
