Karen McWilliams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen McWilliams (Advance, North Carolina), who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father John Baker Mecum; her husband Charles McWilliams; her former husband Larry Evans; and her brother David Mecum. She is survived by: her mother Rachel Tucker Edwards; her daughters, Amber Evans Ayers and Krista McWilliams; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Ayers, Evan Ayers and River Perry; her siblings, Tracy Gagner, Kenneth Mecum, Eddie Mecum, Sandra Bledsoe, Tina Ragan, Lori Vest, Robin Vantorre and Cheryl Mayes; her nieces and nephews, Crystal McBride and Chris Mecum; and her stepmother Pat Mecum. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Brenner's Children's Hospital.
