He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Robert Jones, Sr.; and his brother Murray "Bruiser" Franklin Jones. He is survived by: his mother Etta Mae Pauline Jones; his wife Kay Jones; his sons, Aaron Jones (Morgan) and Trent Jones; his grandson Ian Johnny-Lee Jones; and his siblings, Travis Jones (Diane), Theresa Smith (Henry), Edreen Peak (Tony) and Wendy Seawell (Brett). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Light Christian Camp, c/o Gospel Light Baptist Church at 890 Walkertown Guthrie Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
