He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Stewart and Nona Stewart; and his siblings, Edward, Lester, Charles, Billy Stewart, Lois Martin, Nancy Hopkins and Carol Branch.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stewart; his sons, Bart and Brett Stewart; and his brothers, Tony and Zane Stewart. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
