We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2019, at the age of 78, James Harvey Payne Jr. (Advance, North Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harvey Payne and Winifred Ralston Payne; his former wife Linda Shepherd Payne; and his grandmother Richards. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Graybeal; his children, Jimmy Payne (Amy) of Greensboro, Amy McComas (Eddie) of Mooresville and Teresa Reeves (Dave) of Archdale, NC; his stepdaughters, Kaye Graybeal of Greensboro and Elizabeth Stewart of Greensboro; his grandsons, L. D. Brooks, Drew McComas, Winston Lee Claspill and Connor Payne; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Mae Claspill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
