He was predeceased by: his parents, Toy Lee Speaks, Sr. and Mamie Wilson Speaks; his grandsons, Jason and Jarrett Cook; his great grandchild Abigail Owens; and his siblings, Raford Speaks, Toy Lee Speaks, Jr., Eugene Speaks, Douglas Speaks and Jo Ann Cornatzer.
He is survived by: his wife Vennie Vanhoy Speaks; his children, Sharon K. Oakley (Brice) and Harold "Gray" Speaks, Jr. (Amanda); his stepchildren, Rickey Lawson (Bonnie) and Diane Lawson Tuttle (Tony); and his grandchildren, Vickie Matt, Mitch, Monica, Dustin, Lucas and Levi. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
