He was predeceased by: his father Walter Elias Kahoi'wailani Joseph; and his grandparents, Kiyoshi Oshiro and Grace Oshiro. He is survived by: his mother Tammy Lau Oshiro; his wife Kiyomi Shimabukuro; his children, Tammie Benton and Kahanu Joseph; his grandson Kylar Moniz; and his sister Jaclyn Rose (Frank Joseph). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
