She was predeceased by: her father Morgan Handy; her husband Lawrence Handy; and her son Vernon Handy. She is survived by: her sons, Larry Handy (Lynn), Roger Handy (Sheila) and Don Handy; her daughter-in-law Debbie Handy; her sister Avaline Pruitt (Jesse); and her close friend Helen Jones (Bud). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
