He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cofer Dennis; his children, Pamela Ruth Dennis of Charlotte and James Phillip Dennis (Jane Essick Dennis) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Erin Leigh Dennis and Morgan Jane Dennis; and his brother Dr. Ronald Green Dennis (Jane Moorman Dennis) of Mooresville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
