She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmore Royal Jenkins and Marguerite Rouse Jenkins; her husband Joseph Worth Turner; her sons, Joseph Worth Turner, Jr. (Ayako) and Barry Wayne Turner (Jo); her grandchildren, Hayley Turner, Alex Turner (Kristyn), Logan Turner (Christa) and Blake Turner (Nicole); her great grandchild Asher William Worth Turner; and her sisters, Duckie Strickland and Alice Wells.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to these organizations or to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
