He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Adams-Steelman and Avery Cleveland Steelman; his wife Eva Butner-Steelman; and his siblings, Kate Wagoner, Alice Todd, Esther Queen, Wilson Steelman, William Steelman, Mary Steelman, Gladys Veach, Francis Steelman, AC Steelman Jr. and Lumbia Brewer.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Steelman-Urlaub; his son-in-law Dr. Roger Urlaub; his grandsons, Joshua Urlaub, Zachary Urlaub (Uyen Dinh) and Noah Urlaub (Lilian Berridi); his brother Bob Steelman; and his sister-in-law Jackie Biggerstaff-Steelman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
