He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Basnight and Arbelle Basnight Reynolds; his wife Bobbie Basnight; his stepfather Dennis Reynolds; and his sister Mary B. Rhodes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Mays and Denise Peddycord (Alan); his grandchildren, Sarah Bennett (Greg), Stephanie Perlotto (Walt), Daniel Peddycord and Jill Peddycord Marker; and his brother Joseph Reynolds (Gail). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
