He is survived by: his son Michael Ellender (Ashley); his grandchildren, Dylan Ellender, Lexi Oakes and Skylar Oakes; his brother Joe Bill Ellender; his nephews, Joe Ellender (Ashley), James Ellender (Kelsey) and Jeremy Ellender; and his close friend Beverly Asbell.
