He was predeceased by: his father John H. Hartness, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Gayle Marsh Hartness; his wife Lisa King Hartness; his daughters, Madison Josupait (Andrew) and Molly Scarbrough (Cole); and his sister Audra Hartness (Danielle Henslee).
