She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leila Dean Elam and Glenn Edgar Elam; her siblings, Glenn Jr., Richard, Diane and Shirley; her friends, Betty Bailey and Carolyn; her close friend John Robert Whitehurst (Bob); her sons, Bobby Whitehurst (Lynda) and Wesley Whitehurst (Sandy); her grandchildren, Chris Whitehurst (Whitney), Matthew Whitehurst and Lindsay Kensington; and her great grandchildren, Emerson, Matthew, Montgomery and Samuel Whitehurst. She was also cherished by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
