Betty Lou Tharpe Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Tharpe of Advance, North Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Handy and Stella Blackburn Handy; and her husband Frank Tharpe, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Marty Tharpe, Jr. of Advance and Craig Tharpe of Pfafftown; her grandsons, Tii Tharpe, III, Jacob Tharpe and Tucker Tharpe (Cayce); her great grandchildren, Marty Tharpe IV and Sullivan Tharpe; her sister Janice Handy; and her daughters-in-law, Dare Smith Tharpe and Terry Woodall Ramsbotham.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice in memory of Betty Tharpe.
