She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ann Rachel Swaim and Lester Swaim; her husband James Larry Burton; her brothers, Tommy and Robert Swaim; her daughter Pam Eagle (Dean); her stepsons, Jimmy Burton (Robin) and David Burton (Sandra); her grandchildren, Heather Oakley (Reva) of David Oakley, III, Brandon Oakley, Beth Renegar, C. J. Carson and Austin Burton; her great grandchildren, Nadelie Jones and Landon Oakley; her siblings, Joan Russell (James) and Charles Swaim (Brenda); and her close friend Jack Walker. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church or to Trellis of Davie County. (Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel).
