It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Jean McBride (Advance, North Carolina), who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hudson Williams and Grace Leona Collins Williams; her husband George McBride (G. W.) of Washington; her son George Edward McBride (Eddie); and her sisters, Camellia Watson and Peggy Ziglar.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie McBride Parks (Dan) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, George Edward "Eddie" McBride Jr. (Shannon), Matthew Thomas Thacker (Melanie), Casey McBride (Yamile) and Trent Gardner; her great grandchildren, Connor McBride, Madison Thacker, Mason Thacker and Gracie McBride; her sister Jackie Brewer; and her nephew Johnny Ziglar.
After Covid restrictions are lifted, a Celebration of Life will be held in Alma Jean's honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels of Stokes County, NC; Well Care Hospice, Advance, NC; or the American Humane Society americanhumane.org.
