He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Jane and Jim Wall; his brother-in-law Bruce Swaim; and his son-in-law Doug Miles, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jan Whitfield; his children, Angie Miles and Geoff Whitfield (Allison); his grandchildren, Preston Miles (Jon), Haley Whitfield and Nicole Parks (Todd); his sisters, Susie Swaim, Robin Hobson (Jimmy) and Vikki Brown; and his pets, Gizmo and Lacey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lions Club International or the Forsyth Humane Society.
